The Strat Hotel & Casino recently underwent a massive branding overhaul. As part of that revamp, The Strat was set to launch a nation TV campaign to show it off. They came to us with a creative brief that was in search of finding a new way to show off the improvements they made to their property.
The brief had two goals: 1. Bring all the new features, restaurants and fun elements into one cohesive spot to tell that story. 2. Give people a sense that, while The Strat is a Las Vegas Icon, it still has some new tricks up its sleeve.
An innovative video technique called the "flow motion" was the idea we landed on to showcase the new and improved Strat. This technique, which is actually photos stitched together and sped up or slowed down to imitate video motion, was used because it's fast-paced, hard to look away from, and can showcase a large amount of space in a limited amount of time.
This technique helped hold the attention of a younger generation that may find this video across the campaign on TV, streaming services or social media.
