
We were super excited to be able to work with our partners PlaySugarhouse.com to launch their innovative new online casino gaming site. The Owner and CEO had already spent decades innovating in the casino gaming space, and new there was a gap in the market online with a lack of features customers really wanted to see, so he decided to hire a team and build it himself. After a couple years of intense development and innovation, they were ready to launch in the east coast market and they came to us because of our decade of experience working in the gaming industry and marketing for the industry leaders like PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, DraftKings, Fanduel and Ultimate Poker.
Once we started the account, one of the first initiatives was to develop a character that could serve as the site’s mascot to relate to customers and serve as a way to offer them rewards in a fun way. After months of development, we landed on crafting a character called King Cash. The King would exist for two reasons; to relieve the sites customers of the pain of doing monotonous tasks such as taking out the trash, doing laundry or mowing the lawn, and to dole out heaps of money to anyone that crossed his path. King Cash’s goal was based on the tagline we crafted for the company…More Games, More Rewards, More Fun…Because You Deserve More. This tagline represented everything the site stood for…as the team spent a long time developing everything meticulously, form the game selection to the chat functionality and other unique features to ensure the experience was second to none.
When we launched, we began with a TV, Radio and social media campaign off the idea that King Cash would rid you of your chores and grant you more. We accomplished this in two main ways…creating a life-size mascot to star in the TV commercials and appear in the market where the site was available…and to create a mini-king bobblehead that could be used mobile to travel to lands near and far to give away prizes and cash and entertain the onlookers. within months of launch, PlaySugarhouse.com had cut through the stiff competition with name brand leaders such as Tropicana Online, Virgin Online, and Partypoker to be a top-tier industry leading site. We capped off the campaign by taking home a runner-up finish in the Marketing Innovation category of the iGaming North America Awards.
