The client knew they wanted this brand to have packaging that separated them from the "samesies" syndrome prevalent in the market. They wanted to use photos in some way, so the look differed from the cartoony looking packaging of other brands.
We decided to use real people and create surrealistic scenes using props and fun colorful backgrounds that would make someone stop and stare at the scene on the package.
We also wanted to make sure that the ingredients in each flavor of chocolate bar was incorporated into the surrealistic scenes we created. We then conceptualized how to bring together these crazy ideas around how each bar would be made in a surreal setting.
